Pixar's landmark computer animated feature gets a 3-D facelift alongside its creative follow-up in this special, limited run double feature. The first film is absolute magic. Boasting a stellar cast of vocal talent, this nostalgic gem features Tom Hanks as Woody, and Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, a couple of mischievous toys who compete for the affection of their child owner Andy. Upon taking in this unforgettable double feature, I discovered that as much as I adore the first film, I think I actually like the second picture just a tad more. True, the first movie set the standard, but the themes of family and friendship are a little more front and center in the second picture. Regardless of which of the two you prefer, there's nothing like seeing these movies back to back. This double feature also includes a five minute intermission complete with a Toy Story trivia reel. Clearly, this re-release was distributed in an attempt to get audiences pumped for next summer's Toy Story 3, but even had part three not been in the cards, this was a film experience well worth repeating. In fact, I'm going to see it again!
